The Questions We Hear Most

We found that people tend to ask the same key questions, so we’ve gathered the answers here

What makes NIXUS unique?

Our patent-pending technology allows us to measure the internal pressure of each ball in the cannister directly (bar / psi). This makes NIXUS the only system in the world that can restore every ball individually to within ±0.05 bar (±0.7 psi) of its optimal pressure, and do so as fast as physically possible. Users also receive direct feedback on repressurisation progress, while adjustable target settings allow them to customize their ball pressure.

What about the exterior of the balls? (Fluffing & Wearing)

We cannot change their look, but we can change their performance.

Hawk-Eye data and PhD research show that players largely overestimate how much a ball’s worn aesthetics (faded colour, fluffy felt, or a damaged logo) affect performance. Players’ perceptions of a ball’s aesthetics are linked to perceived playing characteristics such as flight control, stiffness, and weight. However, the research concludes that these aesthetic changes have little to no impact on actual playing characteristics. Ball pressure, on the other hand, does.

Is NIXUS for tennis, padel, or both?

Both. Thanks to our patent-pending technology, the same NIXUS can restore both tennis and padel balls interchangeably, with no separate device required.
